February 1, 2012 -- DINNER: Hide/Seek: Art, Desire, and Controversy
Join City Club and Tacoma Art Museum curator Rock Hushka for a program that tackles the controversy around the upcoming exhibition of "Hide/Seek" at Tacoma Art Museum. Please note the location is Tacoma Art Musuem, not UPS!
When the exhibit opens in March, TAM will be the only West Coast museum to show the controversial Hide/Seek portraiture exhibit. What is all the fuss about? Why was it censored at the Smithsonian? How does it related to the broader social and political culture?
Members may RSVP by emailing office@cityclubtacoma.org by Tuesday, January 31, at 12:00 pm. Members: $25; Non-Members $30.
Members may attend for the "program only" rate of $8 and skip the meal. The $8 rate includes coffee and dessert. This is only open to current City Club members. Pre-payment is required and no-shows will be billed.
This program coordinated by Ronnie Bush.
Location: Tacoma Art Museum. Wine social at 6:00, dinner at 6:45, program at 7:00. Ends by 8:15.
Learn more about the exhibit on the TAM website.
